BEC was founded in the UK over 50 years ago and is credited with developing the first round plastic automatic drinker for the poultry and game bird rearing industries. BEC products have now been in use for over half a century and have developed an enviable reputation for reliability all over the world.

Osprey Limited, a successful plastic injection moulding company based in the UK, purchased BEC in January 2004. BEC has benefited greatly from Osprey’s expertise in plastic moulding having achieved ISO 14001:2015 certification in all aspects of its operations. All game and poultry rearing equipment production is carried out to audited procedures, ensuring reliable, quality products.

Investment in the BEC product lines continues, and in addition Osprey are always striving to be as energy efficient and sustainable as possible. Solar and battery installations were completed at our main factory in 2023. This has significantly reduced our reliance on electric from the grid and has greatly reduced the carbon footprint of BEC products.

We continue to adopt the latest technologies to provide the highest quality products for the Poultry and Game sectors.

In recent years we have extended our range of products manufactured from recycled plastics. Osprey currently manufacture 40 – 50% of products from recycled materials. We firmly believe that high quality, long lasting products are the most sustainable and environmentally friendly approach.
